Iron Man 3 Armor Spoilers Revealed & Radioactive Man Joins Cast – We’ve seen Tony Stark take on baddies in seven versions of his Iron Man armor over three films, with the latest taking on Loki and his army in The Avengers. But will we see Stark make a giant leap forward for next year’s Iron Man 3?
Fair warning, what lies ahead is possibly heavy spoiler territory, so if you want to go into the movie fresh, you might want to check out one of our other great posts. Now that’s out of the way, according to Latino Review, Stark’s new armor that we got a look at on display at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con will not be known as the Mark 8 armor, but instead, Mark 47. Say what! That’s right, even though Stark’s new suit will be getting some major upgrades, including allowing him to become Iron Man at will thanks to nanotechnology, the evil Mandarin’s Extremis-enhanced baddies will reportedly be too much for Stark to take on alone and he will use 40…yes, I said 40, Iron Man suits that he can control to give himself a fighting chance. With the possibility of seeing 40 plus Iron Man suits on the screen at one time, May 3rd can’t come soon enough.

Now, if that news didn’t get you excited, word on the street is Chinese actor WangXueqi has been cast to take on the role of Chen Lu, aka Radioactive Man in the sequel. In the comics, Lu is a scientist exposed to radiation that gives him the power to manipulate radiation. He is often employed by Mandarin, who will be the main villain in Iron Man 3 played by Ben Kingsley. With so many villains already revealed in Iron Man 3 and the late casting, many are speculating that Radioactive Man will appear as an end credits scene that will lead into the Ant-Man movie, with Radioactive Man being the main antagonist in that film, though that remains just a rumor for now.
So are you excited for Iron Man 3 and what do you think of Stark’s new Mark 47 suit?
